Freelance u0026amp; Marketing was born out of my desire to be able to work from home. A few months before I started this blog, I had to make a decision that impacted my career. I had to close my law office, and become a stay-at-home mom for as long as needed to raise my son. The reasons behind that decision are not important. Point is, I went from an active, demanding career that occupied most of my time to staying at home. I love my son very much, but not working was slowly driving me insane.

About page graphicI am one of those people who does not take to idleness well. I need to be busy and preferably challenged. That’s where my personal happy place is. I started reading whatever I could find on marketing and freelance writing. Content marketing especially interested me. Reading blog posts on blogs like the Copyblogger, Content Marketing Institute, and Convince and Convert became part of my daily routine

At some point I had that light bulb moment. I was at home with my son, not working anymore. I needed a change and a challenge. I decided that I could put my new learned skills to test. I could start blogging about marketing and freelance writing. I set out a goal for myself to have 2,000 subscribers in 6 months, which is February 2019.

However, I was not just satisfied with writing about marketing and freelancing. I actually wanted to do it. I wanted to help solopreneurs, entrepreneurs, small business owners, as well as bloggers out there to increase their online presence and brand awareness, to generate more traffic, and to have higher sales with more profit. In other words, I wanted to be able to consult and advice those I mentioned above to get ahead in their field.

Now, how would someone like me, a non expert, accomplish this task? Well, through trial and error. You see, I also am starting a new blog and need traffic. At some point I would like to earn money from my blog as well. What sets apart my blog from many others is that the advice I give here is going to be personally tested on me and my blog.

My purpose is to be transparent, and to discuss my achievements and failures. You, as my prospective clients and readers, will have access to information that you’ll know the results they wielded. The internet is full of advice on marketing, advertisement, content creation, etc. However, when one starts to have an idea about those issues, and reads up and tests some of those tips, you realize that they are not realistic.

Moreover, most of those advices and tips might work very well who is already well known in the online and business world. If you’re a business who has 100,000+ subscribers to your email list, has a large social media following, then it’s not that difficult to push those kinds of businesses forward. But what about the small guy? What about the blogger starting from scratch or the small business that just opened? What kind of advice would work for them? How would those people be helped to grow and move ahead?

This is my aim. This is what I hope to accomplish. My goal is to help as many of you as possible through my own experiences, through knowledge, and tested scenarios.
